Château de Béru is a family-owned wine domain of around fifteen hectares, located in Burgundy, in the heart of the Chablis vineyards.

Biodynamic viticulture and a low-intervention approach give the domain's wines a particular sense of their original terroirs and of the ever-changing character of the vintages.

THE WINES

Our wines are the reflection of an artisan approach that determines all our practices, from sorting grapes on the plot to the bottling.

Whether it is for the Chablis wines produced at the domain, or for our négoce wines, we strive to analyze and understand each vintage, so that our wines render their most accurate expressions.

THE VINES

Located in the heart of the Chablis vineyards, our vines are planted around a hill, dominated by the Château de Béru.

Thanks to biodynamic viticulture, each of our plots has reached its own balance, and expresses the peculiarities of its terroir, from vintage to vintage.

THE VINIFICATIONS

We play with the dates of the harvest, the pressing cycles, or the vatting to accompany the spirit of the vintage.

The wines are produced without any additives. The aging is long and carried out in accordance with the cycles and the seasons. Since 2012, some vintages have been bottled without any added sulfites.

THE DOMAIN

In 2005, Athénaïs de Béru vinified her first vintage at the domain, thus following in the footsteps of her Burgundian predecessors, who since the Middle Ages have contributed to place Béru at the pinnacle of the appellation.

WINE TOURISM

Built in the heart of the domain's organic vineyards, just a few kilometers from Chablis, Château de Béru is a historic home that has been owned by the Béru family for over 400 years. With its authentic and cozy guest rooms and gîte, Château de Béru is the ideal starting point for a cultural and gourmet discovery of the Chablis terroirs.
